Property Astrology and Vastu Report

A property astrology report reads the 4th house of your Vedic birth chart, together with Mars, Saturn and your Dasha periods, to show your relationship with home and land and when buying, selling or moving is better supported. It is prepared personally by Arjun, a Sydney-based Vedic astrologer and Vastu consultant.

Why look at property in your birth chart?

For many Australians, a home is the largest purchase they will ever make, and in many South Asian families it also carries deep emotional and cultural meaning. Timing is rarely tidy: settlement dates, lending conditions and personal readiness seldom line up neatly. A chart reading won’t tell you what the market will do, but it can show when your own chart supports putting down roots, and when patience may serve you better.

Which chart factors relate to property?

  • The 4th house (Sukha Bhava): home, land, vehicles, domestic happiness and a sense of belonging.
  • The lord of the 4th house: where it sits shows how property enters your life, for example through career, family or partnership.
  • Mars (Bhumi Karaka): the natural significator of land and real estate.
  • Saturn: long-term assets, construction, older buildings and delays that later pay off.
  • Venus and the Moon: comfort, beauty and emotional ease at home.
  • The 2nd and 11th houses: the resources that support a purchase.

What does a property report cover?

  • Your chart’s overall promise around owning, renovating, building or renting.
  • Dasha and sub-periods that favour acquiring property, and those better suited to holding steady.
  • Jupiter and Saturn transits across your 4th house and its lord.
  • Considerations for relocation, including interstate or overseas moves.
  • Vastu pointers for choosing or adjusting a home, including entrance direction and room placement.

How does Vastu fit in?

Vastu Shastra is the traditional science of architecture and space. While astrology speaks to timing, Vastu looks at the building itself: the entrance, kitchen, bedrooms and the flow of light. Many Australian houses and apartments can’t be rebuilt to classical ideals, so I focus on practical corrections that suit renters and strata living. My apartment Vastu corrections guide shows examples.

A note on property decisions

This report is about personal timing and tendencies. It is not financial, legal or real-estate advice, and it does not forecast property prices. Please rely on your conveyancer, mortgage broker, building inspector and financial adviser for the transaction itself.

Frequently asked questions

Can astrology tell me the right time to buy a house?

It can indicate periods when your chart supports property matters, often when the Dasha of the 4th-house lord, Mars or a well-placed benefic is running, or when Jupiter transits the 4th house. It can’t account for your finances or the market, so treat those windows as one input alongside practical readiness and professional advice.

What is Muhurta, and can it help with a move?

Muhurta is the Vedic practice of choosing an auspicious moment to begin something important, such as moving in or starting construction. Where you have some flexibility, for instance over a housewarming (Griha Pravesh) date, Muhurta can help. Where dates are fixed by settlement or a lease, focus on intention and a few simple Vastu steps instead.

Is Vastu relevant if I’m renting?

Yes. Many Vastu adjustments involve furniture placement, colour, lighting, decluttering and how you use each room, none of which require structural changes. Renters often start with the entrance, the bed position and the north-east corner. These are low-cost steps that respect your lease and your landlord’s property. When you’re ready, you can book a consultation.
