Shani (Saturn) Report & Sade Sati Analysis

A Shani Report explains how Saturn (Shani) shapes your life according to your Vedic birth chart: when Sade Sati and Dhaiya fall for you, how a Saturn period may unfold, and which remedies suit you. Prepared personally by Arjun, a Sydney-based Vedic astrologer, it is for anyone entering a Saturn phase or worried about one.

Saturn has a fearsome reputation, but in Vedic astrology it is the planet of discipline, patience and fair reward. It slows things down so that what you build will last. Knowing its timing in your chart turns anxiety into planning.

Sade Sati, Dhaiya and Saturn periods in one report

Detailed Shani Report – $120 AUD

What is Sade Sati?

Sade Sati is the roughly seven-and-a-half-year period when Saturn moves through the sign before your Moon sign, your Moon sign itself, and the sign after it. Each stretch lasts about two and a half years and tends to touch a different area of life. It returns roughly every thirty years, so most people meet it two or three times.

What is Shani Dhaiya?

Dhaiya, sometimes called Small Panoti, is a shorter transit of about two and a half years, when Saturn passes through the 4th or 8th sign from your Moon. It can bring pressure around home life, work demands or sudden changes of plan.

Neither period is automatically bad. Saturn’s effect depends on its strength in your chart, your Ascendant and the Dasha you are running. For the Western astrology take on Saturn’s cycles, see my article on what astrologers won’t tell you about Saturn’s return.

Shani Report FAQs

Is Sade Sati always a difficult time?

No. For some charts, especially where Saturn is a friendly or well-placed planet, Sade Sati coincides with promotions, property or hard-won stability. For others it asks for patience and a change of habits. The outcome depends on Saturn’s role in your chart and the Dasha you are running, which is exactly what the report examines.

How do I know if I’m in Sade Sati now?

You need your Moon sign in the Vedic (sidereal) zodiac, which often differs from the sign used in magazine horoscopes, as I explain in everyone is reading their horoscope wrong. Once your Moon sign is known, Saturn’s current position shows whether you are in Sade Sati, Dhaiya or neither.

What remedies help with Saturn?

Traditional Shani remedies include reciting Saturn mantras, charity on Saturdays, serving elders and people who do hard physical work, and keeping disciplined daily routines. Blue sapphire (Neelam) is suggested only after careful checking, because it doesn’t suit everyone. For a formal ritual, you can book a Shani Shanti Puja online.

What details do I need to order?

Your exact date, time and place of birth. Saturn’s sign-based transits depend mainly on your Moon, but house placements, your Ascendant and your Dasha timing all rely on an accurate birth time. If your time is approximate, let me know when you order so I can allow for it in the analysis.
