Horoscope Prediction Report: A Written Janam Kundli Forecast by Date of Birth

A Horoscope Prediction Report is a written forecast drawn from your own Janam Kundli, the Vedic birth chart calculated from your exact date, time and place of birth. It maps the periods ahead through your Dasha cycles and planetary transits. I’m Arjun, a Vedic astrologer in Sydney, and I read and write each report myself.

How is this different from a newspaper horoscope?

A newspaper or app horoscope is written for everyone born under one Sun sign, roughly a twelfth of the population. It cannot know your rising sign, which houses your planets occupy, or which planetary period you are running. That is why it so often feels vague. I explain the difference in everyone is reading their horoscope wrong.

A Horoscope Prediction Report starts from the opposite end. Vedic astrology usually reads from your Lagna (ascendant) and Moon sign rather than the Sun, and every forecast in the report is tied to a specific placement in your own chart.

What goes into the report?

• Your Janam Kundli – the main birth chart, calculated with the sidereal zodiac used in Vedic astrology, plus the Moon chart for emotional and day-to-day themes.
• Current and upcoming Dasha periods – your Vimshottari Mahadasha and Antardasha, which show which planets are “in charge” of each chapter of life.
• Gochar (transits) – how slow-moving planets such as Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu interact with your chart over the period covered.
• Area-by-area notes – what those periods are likely to mean for work, relationships, finances, family, study and wellbeing.
• Practical guidance – what each period tends to reward, what it asks of you, and where extra care is sensible.

How do Dasha and Gochar work together?

Think of the Dasha as the season and Gochar as the weather. Your Dasha period sets the broad theme for several months or years, for example a Saturn period that asks for patience and structure, or a Venus period that brings relationships and comfort into focus. Transits then show when those themes are switched on more strongly.

When a supportive Dasha meets supportive transits, things tend to move more easily. When they pull in opposite directions, the same goals usually take longer. The report shows you where those overlaps fall so you can plan rather than guess.

What can a Horoscope Prediction Report help with?

What won’t it do?

It will not give fixed dates for specific events, and it is not a substitute for medical, legal or financial advice. Wellbeing notes describe tendencies in the chart, not diagnoses. If a period looks demanding for health, the sensible response is to look after yourself and see your doctor, not to worry. Astrology is most useful as a planning companion, not a verdict.

This report is written, so you can come back to it as each period unfolds. If you would rather talk through your chart in real time and ask follow-up questions, a live horoscope reading may suit you better. Many people start with the report and book a conversation later.

What do I need to provide?

Your date of birth, the most accurate birth time you can find, and your place of birth (town and country). A birth certificate or hospital record is best. If you only know an approximate time, tell me when you order so I can mark which parts of the forecast are firm and which are provisional.

What is a Janam Kundli?

Janam Kundli is the Hindi term for the Vedic birth chart. It records where the Sun, Moon, planets and lunar nodes were in the sidereal zodiac at the exact moment and place you were born, divided into twelve houses that each describe an area of life. Every forecast in the report is read from this chart.

Is this the same as an automatic online Kundli generator?

No. Software can calculate the chart, and I use accurate calculation tools too, but calculation is only the first step. The report is my own interpretation of how your placements, Dasha periods and transits combine, written in plain English with the Sanskrit terms explained, rather than a set of automated paragraphs.

Does the report use my Sun sign?

Only as one factor among many. Vedic astrology places far more weight on your Lagna, your Moon sign and your Moon’s Nakshatra. Because it uses the sidereal zodiac, your Vedic signs may also differ from the Western Sun sign you already know, which surprises many people reading their chart for the first time.

How accurate does my birth time need to be?

The closer the better. The Lagna changes roughly every two hours, and house positions shift within that window, so an error of even twenty or thirty minutes can change some details. Dasha periods and planetary signs are less sensitive. If your time is uncertain, I will say where that affects the forecast.
