# Mangal Dosha Nivaran Puja

**The Mangal Dosha Nivaran Puja is a traditional Vedic ritual for Manglik (Mangal) Dosha, performed in your name with Mangal mantras, Hanuman worship and a havan.** Mangal Dosha is present when Mars sits in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house, and it is traditionally checked before marriage.

## How is the Mangal Dosha Nivaran Puja performed?

**It is performed on your behalf, usually on a Tuesday, with a sankalpa in your name, so you don’t need to be present.** Arjun first confirms from your chart that the dosha is actually present and not cancelled, then the priests perform the ritual and you receive confirmation once it is complete.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Mangal Dosha mean I shouldn’t marry?

**No.** Mangal Dosha is common, and classical texts list many conditions that cancel or soften it, including when both partners are Manglik. It is one factor to weigh, not a verdict.

### Do I need this puja if my dosha is cancelled?

**Usually not.** If the dosha is cancelled in your chart, Arjun will tell you and won’t recommend the puja.

### Can it be done after marriage?

**Yes.** Couples sometimes choose it after marriage for peace of mind, especially during a Mars Dasha.
